Modern Earthy Kitchens

More than ever before, today's kitchen designs are taking a turn towards the modern while incorporating raw, earthy materials. I love how the unexpected textures of stone and reclaimed wood take the edge off of cold stainless appliances. Earthy elements breath life into minimilistic kitchen designs. The use of both old and new materials also gives designers the freedom to choose antique, modern, or tranisitonal accents like lighting and furniture.

The McLellan's Wedding

Jessica and Erik McLellan were married on August 3oth 2008. They held the ceremony near a church in Kaupo, Maui and it was amazing. The weather was beautiful and we were in the middle of the country with hardly anything around but a church, an ocean, and the land. I heard that this was a place that they would come to get away so it held great meaning to them. She held the reception on her familys property where there was catering, live music, dancing, and beautiful decor. Ryan and I are so happy for you and Erik. Congratualtions!

Maddy's Nursery

A young new mother came to us with a vision for a nursery for her baby girl on the way. “nothing too girly and with room to grow” were her only requests. We started with a color scheme, from which we selected a charming Victoria Hagan Fabric. This pattern became the stencil around the room, all in a dusty pink. The Client had a wonderful teak armoire which we took from the living room and used for the baby. A fun teak shelf sits opposite the armoire, and the rich brown tones of the wood are such a great contrast with the pinks and lavenders. A pretty room for a pretty baby!

Thank you Jenny for taking such great photos!
